Methodology
How ON1010 Works
Where our data comes from, how it’s analyzed, and why transparency matters to us.
Our Data Sources
Every piece of analysis on ON1010 starts with real data from authoritative, publicly available sources. We do not use proprietary or paywalled data. Our primary sources include:
Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) — The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis maintains one of the most comprehensive databases of U.S. economic data. We monitor dozens of key series including GDP, CPI, employment, interest rates, and housing data.
Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) — The primary source for employment and inflation data, including nonfarm payrolls, the unemployment rate, consumer and producer price indices, and wage growth.
Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) — The source for GDP, personal income and spending, the PCE Price Index (the Fed’s preferred inflation measure), and trade data.
U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) — Tracks crude oil, gasoline, natural gas, and broader energy market data that affects both inflation and economic output.
U.S. Department of the Treasury — Yield curve data, Treasury auction results, and fiscal policy information.
Federal Reserve Board of Governors — Policy statements, meeting minutes, press conferences, and monetary policy decisions.
How the Analysis Works
ON1010’s AI-powered research platform operates in three stages:
1. Data Collection. The platform monitors government data releases, Federal Reserve announcements, and financial news feeds throughout the day. When new economic data is published — a jobs report, an inflation reading, a rate decision — the platform captures it in real time.
2. Analysis. The AI applies the same analytical framework a seasoned portfolio manager would use. This means going beyond the headline number to examine context: How does the latest reading compare to expectations? What does the trend look like? What does it signal about the direction of the economy, Fed policy, or market conditions? These methods and frameworks were developed over two decades of professional portfolio management.
3. Delivery. The analysis is published as individual articles (Data Wire for economic releases, News Wire for market-moving developments) and compiled into a daily briefing delivered every weekday morning before the market opens at 6 AM ET.
What We Don’t Do
We believe transparency requires being clear about what our platform does not do.
We don’t make predictions. We analyze what has happened and what it means — not what will happen next. Markets are complex and anyone claiming certainty about the future should be treated with skepticism.
We don’t recommend trades. ON1010 is an educational resource. We help you understand economic data so you can make your own informed decisions.
We don’t hide the AI. Every article on this site is generated by artificial intelligence trained on proven analytical methods. We disclose this on every article because we believe you deserve to know how the content is made.
We don’t use proprietary data. Every data source we rely on is publicly available. We add value through analysis and interpretation, not through access.
Accuracy & Corrections
We take accuracy seriously. Our platform pulls data directly from government APIs, minimizing the risk of transcription errors. However, AI is an evolving technology and can occasionally misinterpret context or draw imprecise conclusions.
If you spot an error, we want to know about it. Contact us at [email protected] and we will address it promptly.
